Community Action Sports Club

Sports clubs play a valuable role in their communities.

The Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) scheme was introduced in April 2002 as an option for sports clubs to receive tax reliefs provided the club meets the qualifying conditions. The scheme generally requires less regulation than if a sports club registers as a charity.

Longreach Watersports Club is a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC). Our club recognises the importance of sport in the community.

Our main benefits to the community are:

  • Our membership and facilities are open to all without discrimination
  • We make sure our membership costs are affordable to everyone
  • We are non-profit making
  • We are organised on an amateur basis
  • We provide facilities and encourage people to take part in our sport
